Indy Air Passengers are Reliant on Hubs for Travel

0 CommentsBy

  • Data from the Bureau of Transportation Statistic shows that the top destinations for passengers flying out of Indianapolis International Airport are locations that are hubs for the city’s major airline carriers. The five largest destinations are Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Charlotte and Dallas which are hubs for Delta, United Airlines, Frontier, US Airways and Southwest, respectively.
  • This implies that passengers departing from Indianapolis are more reliant on connecting flights through major hubs to reach their final destination and less inclined to travel to one of the airport’s 32 non-stop destinations.
